The Art of Unfoldment

Somatic Unwinding

The mind and body are deeply intertwined—stress, trauma, and emotions don’t just disappear; they get stored in our tissues, creating tension, discomfort, and patterns that can hold us back. Somatic Unwinding is a hands-on healing practice designed to gently release these stored experiences, restoring ease, energy, and mental clarity.

Unlike traditional bodywork that primarily targets muscle tension or structural alignment, Somatic Unwinding works with the fascia—the connective tissue that holds both physical and emotional imprints. Using a flowing, spiraling touch applied with a soft towel, this approach helps unravel deep-seated tension, increase mobility, and bring greater awareness to the body, making space for emotional release.

What makes Somatic Unwinding unique is its ability to bridge both physical and emotional healing. While massage, chiropractic care, and other modalities focus on the body, and practices like talk therapy and meditation target the mind, this method seamlessly integrates both. It works with movement and touch to free restrictions in the body while also calming the nervous system and restoring emotional balance. The use of a specially designed arched table enhances the experience, decompressing the spine, improving circulation, and deepening breath capacity.

This practice is rooted in the teachings of Mark Lamm and was passed down through master healer Dyal Singh Khalsa. Kuldip trained closely with Dyal Singh for over a decade, refining and expanding these techniques to include intuitive movement and sequencing, creating a deeply transformative experience.

Somatic Unwinding is more than just physical relief—it’s a pathway to greater self-awareness, emotional release, and a renewed sense of vitality, helping you move beyond old patterns and reconnect with your body’s innate wisdom.
