The Transformative Art of Unfoldment

Somatic Unwinding

The mind and body are closely connected. Stress, trauma, and emotions can settle into our tissues, leading to tension, discomfort, and repeating patterns that affect daily life. Somatic Unwinding is a hands-on therapy that helps release these held experiences in a gentle way, promoting relaxation, energy, and clearer thinking.

This method focuses on the fascia, the body's connective tissue that can store physical and emotional marks. It uses a smooth, spiraling touch with a soft towel to ease long-held tension, improve movement, and build better body awareness, which supports emotional shifts.

What sets Somatic Unwinding apart is how it combines physical and emotional work. It draws from the strengths of other approaches (such as massage or chiropractic for body structure, or talk therapy and meditation for the mind) while using touch and movement to loosen physical blocks, settle the nervous system, and support emotional steadiness. A custom arched table adds to this by easing spine pressure, aiding blood flow, and allowing deeper breathing.

The practice stems from Mark Lamm's methods and was handed down by healer Dyal Singh Khalsa. Kuldip worked directly with Dyal Singh for over ten years, adding intuitive movements and sequences to make sessions more impactful.

In the end, Somatic Unwinding offers more than physical ease. It builds self-understanding, helps process emotions, and restores energy, allowing people to break free from old habits and tune into their body's natural guidance.
